Overview
The Lactose Assay Kit measures total lactose in milk based food products or biological samples such as blood or urine. Lactose is cleaved into glucose and galactose. Glucose is then oxidized, yielding hydrogen peroxide and D-gluconic acid. The hydrogen peroxide is detected by a fluorometric probe.

Store the 10X Assay Buffer at room temperature. Store all other components at -20ºC. The Fluorometric Probe is light sensitive and must be protected accordingly. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
